Ms. Talwar has been a dedicated community leader for several years and introduced new and unique programs to benefit the community. Being the Cultural Program Director for CCIVA's Two Day signature event Taste Of India since 2014, she has worked with over thousands of people, majority of them being the young generation, instilling good leadership values and building leaders of tomorrow. She is the first Cultural Director to introduce Dance Competitions at TOI and single-handedly crafts a unique concept for each year at this mega-event.
She is a devoted mother of three children Vidhi, Sunidhi, Samay and loves volunteering her time at their schools whenever she can, to share the traditional Indian music. Ms Talwar comes from a highly trained musical background with over 35 years of experience as an international performing artist. She also teaches music locally in her music studio located in Short Pump area. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with dedicated learners of all ages from all different backgrounds and cultures in the Richmond area and beyond.
She is originally from Mumbai, based in Richmond Virginia since last 20 years. Blessed with a mesmerizing voice, she proudly earned Visharad (degree) in Hindustani Classical vocal, from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and Bachelor’s of Science from University of Mumbai and performs solo Ghazal n Geet mehfils and concerts around the globe. She has been trained under the guidance of Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh and her work has been recognized by accomplished artists such as Pt.Vishwamohan Bhatt, Bollywood actors Farooq Sheikh, Sanjay Suri, Sarita Joshi, Omi Vaidya, just to name a few.
She has launched ‘The Voice Of Richmond’ a singing talent show at CCIVA since 2017 to provide prestigious platform for amateurs and professional singers. She is a highly accomplished judge at music and dance shows and recently has been the judge for McDonalds Dance USA Dance in many cities in the US, which has been aired on ZeeTV.
She believes that by volunteering our time and strengths to strengthen the community and connecting with others, we transform our own lives.
Vandana is a senior strategy leader, managing large scale programs at a Fortune 500 companies. She is a former secretary of CCIVA; she designed the CCIVA Outreach Digital newsletter. She also volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, Richmond SPCA and Feedmore. She is an empowering leader in driving many CCIVA events and initiatives. She is well connected within the community has lived in Richmond since 1996. She enjoys her family time with her two sons and one four pawed baby Rancho. Vandana and her husband Sameer have been an integral part in binding the community. Vandana loves being outdoors and loves tennis, golf, hiking and walking.
Amar Talwar has been very successful in running a sizable photography business spanning around the globe. He has been hired by Fortune 500 clients for their photographic needs. Recently was featured in Forbes and has his photographs tweeted by The White House press team. He has a prominent presence in the social media world hosting thousands of fans and subscribers on platforms like Facebook and YouTube. He and his family of 3 kids reside in the Greater Richmond area.
Sameer Shukla has been very active in the Richmond, VA community for the last 23 years. He has held many roles at various organizations around the area, was CCI's sports lead for the 2017-18 year and conducted a successful Tennis tournament.
He currently resides in Glen Allen, VA with 2 boys (Akrit & Prakrit - both in college) and his wife of 24 years (Vandana Shukla - CCI VP for 2019-20).
By profession he is a senior leader for a Fortune 50 technology company based out of California. Through his work he has been involved in various community initiative related to animals, environment, safety to name a few.
He loves the outdoors, so is actively involved in Golf, Tennis and traveling and looking forward to making this year a successful one for CCI.
She is from Gujarat and has a Masters degree in Economics. She enjoys singing, dancing, walking, outdoor’s sports, Yoga and Meditation and has acted in Gujarati movie & dramas. She has also performed in National television The Delhi Doordarshan.she also teaches and choreographs dances.
Sheetal has been actively involved in Richmond communities for the past 14 years volunteering at the CCIVA and at The Isha Foundation for the past one year.
Sheetal has a 12 year son - Ishaan. Along with upbringing him she also helps her husband to manage his office.
She follows Sadhguru and His teachings and Yoga techniques of inner engineering for a healthy life.
She believes positive attitude towards life, healthy and a balanced mind leads to a healthy and a fit body and a happy life.

Anusha Puri is a junior in the medical science program at Godwin High School. She has been performing at cultural events at CCIVA since the age of four, and has routinely volunteered at food booths and with backstage coordination. She is excited to be leading volunteer recruitment and looks forward to collaborating with the CCIVA community. Here's to a great year of events!
Nupa Agarwal is an attorney with Agarwal Law Firm, a practice she founded in 2004. With over 15 years of practicing law and running a business, Ms. Agarwal has focused her practice on bankruptcy law and real estate. In addition to her law practice, Nupa is a licensed top producing realtor helping to buy and sell properties ranging from $120,000 to 2.5 million. She has clerked for a State Court of Appeals, is a certified Senior Professional Human Resource Manager, and was a legislative liaison to the Virginia General Assembly. She was recently appointed Vice Chair of the on the Economic Development Authority for the City of Richmond. Nupa has served on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Richmond, Virginia League for Planned Parenthood, and The READ Center. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for DemBizRVA and serves on the Canvas Advisory Board of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA). She also serves on the Leadership Council of the American India Foundation (AIF) Richmond Chapter which has raised over $300,000 in the last four years for charities supporting women’s health care, literacy, and programs for migrant workers in India. She is also a supporter of Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) and Fit for Kids.
Nupa has passed the Mississippi, New York, and Virginia Bar Exams and has also earned a Masters in Sociology.
Since the development of CCI, Mrs. Nita Pansuria has devoted her time and energy into our cultural center. Looking back to 2002, she has had one objective in mind, and that is to help build a facility that brings our communities together. As the Facility Director, Mrs. Pansuria harnesses her relationship management and event planning skills to manage CCI’s operations and client relations. Her passion and commitment serves one purpose: providing the opportunity for people to be involved in a wide range of cultural programs that promote learning, social activities, community involvement, and well being.
Outside of CCI, Mrs. Pansuria enjoys spending time with her husband (Govind Pansuria) and her two children (Priya & Neal Pansuria).
