President  Sanjay Mittal

Mr. Mittal is an entrepreneur and currently the CEO of eHealthObjects, an innovative health technology company (eHealthObjects) based in Virginia Biotech research park. His wife Sunita Gupta and he co-founded eHealthObjects in 2006 and have conceptualized and delivered many innovative health IT software products in last 10 years for clients in several States and in also in India. Sanjay Mittal lives in Henrico County since last 16 years with his wife Sunita Gupta and his children, Esha and Kairav.

Mr. Mittal is also the Chair of American India Foundation (AIF), Virginia Chapter (AIF), a philanthropic organization dedicated to catalyzing social and economic change in India and building a lasting bridge between the United States and India. His wife and he co-founded the chapter in 2013 and has led three fundraisers raising more than 250K for projects in India helping the people in need. Mr. Mittal is instrumental in bringing many AIF events to Cultural Center of India, Virginia (CCIVA) since 2015 as both AIF and CCIVA mission is helping the Indian Community both in US and in India.


Vice President   Poojaa Shah Talwar
Ms Talwar has several years of experience in serving the community and in the music industry as a performer, professional vocalist, teacher and writer.
Poojaa is originally from Mumbai, based in Richmond Virginia since last several years. Blessed with a mesmerizing voice, she proudly earned Visharad (Bachelor’s degree) in Hindustani Classical vocal, from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and a Bachelor’s of Science from University of Mumbai. She performs solo concerts around the globe and provides formal voice training, sharing her knowledge with dedicated learners of all ages from all different backgrounds and cultures in the Richmond area. She loves spending quality time with her two Daughters and a Son, which includes training them in music.She is the Cultural director of the two day Taste Of India festival making it a super successful event since June 2014.

In addition, she is also directing a new upcoming musical talent show ‘The Voice Of Richmond’ at CCI in 2017.She believes that by volunteering our time and strengths to strengthen the community and connecting with others, we transform our own lives.She has three children, two daughters, Vidhi and Sunidhi and a son, Samay.


Secretary Vandy Shukla

Vandana Shukla is originally from New Delhi, India and moved to Richmond, VA in 1996 with her husband Sameer Shukla. They have two College going young men, Akrit Shukla and Prakrit Shukla.
Their third child, Rancho, a golden retriever, keeps them busy with walks and his love.
She is currently working as a Program Manager in a financial company. She has been actively engaged in Richmond community via volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, Feedmore, and various events for Indian Community.
She is looking forward to working as a part of the CCI community to grow its outreach.




Planning and Strategy Director Sunita Gupta
As the co-founder and the Chief Operating Officer of eHealthObjects, Ms. Gupta is responsible for the appointment of advisory board members, business partnerships, sales and financials. Ms. Gupta is an entrepreneur with 15 years of management experience including 12 years of health care technology experience. Prior to setting up eHealthObjects, Ms. Gupta worked at management positions at many health care companies and delivered enterprise health care solutions for Trigon BCBS, Anthem and WellPoint. Ms. Gupta holds a Master’s degree in Science (M.Sc.) from MD University, INDIA.




Lead Picnic Coordinator Drs Neil & Rupal Agnihotri

Drs Neil & Rupal Agnihotri are active in all aspects of their lives: with their children, with their practices and with community service. They each have spent hundred of hours on mission trips, both locally and abroad, giving not just time and supplies, but hands-on expert care for those who often are not even able to ask for help. They continue to be active in charity care and wonderful causes such as AIF.



Lead – CCIVA Tennis Tournament Sameer Shukla
Sameer Shukla is a Richmond native since Dec 1996, he resides in Glen Allen, VA with his wife (Vandana Shukla) and 2 college going boys.
He has been an active member of the Indian community and has held a key position in non-profit organization during the early years.

He has been engaged with various non-profits through his work and contributes regularly to the SPCA, Humane Society and will bring that experience to bear in improving the outreach of CCI.




Cultural Director Meenakshi Nandwani
Meenakshi has been living in Richmond for the last 19+ years. Her husband Rajesh and she moved to Richmond from Sacramento, CA in 1999. She has two children, a daughter, Vaidehi and a son, Vaasav. Vaidehi is a sophomore at VCU and Vaasav is a junior at Henrico High School.

She studied at Delhi University and did her Masters in 1993. She has been working with Henrico County Public Schools teaching elementary students for the last 12 years.
She likes to sing and travel and has worked as a Cultural Director with community organizations. In joining hands with CCIVA, she looks forward to making a difference in the community.


Membership Director Namita Verma
Namita works as a Scientist for the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. She is actively involved with activities at the Chinmaya Mission Richmond, enjoys music, reading, movies and playing with the family dog Dusty. Namita has lived in the United States for over thirty years and has a doctoral degree in Environmental Science from UCLA. For the past six years she calls Richmond her home along with her husband Niraj, Professor at VCU and daughters Anjali and Priya. Anjali is a Ph.D student in Biomedical Engineering at VCU and Priya is a Senior at Godwin High School.




Social Media Director Amar Talwar


Amar Talwar has been very successful in running a sizable photography business spanning around the globe. He has been hired by Fortune 500 clients for their photographic needs. He has a prominent presence in the social media world hosting thousands of fans and subscribers on platforms like Facebook and YouTube. He and his family of 3 kids reside in the Greater Richmond area.






Facility Director Nita Pansuria

Ms. Pansuria looks at the decoration, food and facility rental requests on behalf of the executive team. She is the lead in coordinating with the food vendors for the ‘Taste of India’, a 2 day annual Indian festival. This event gives the metro Richmond and Tri-Cities areas a glimpse of Indian culture through diverse Indian cuisine as well as Indian handicraft, art, music and dance.






Religious Director Urvashi Mistry

Mrs. Urvashi Mistry born in Anand,Gujarat, India and living in chesterfield,Virginia, USA since 15 years.She has been working since 25 years for All world Gayatri Parivar and doing different activities like Pooja, Yagna, Sanskar. She performs more than 100 Gayatri Yagnas every year.She is very keen to bring the change for betterment of the lives of People.Currently living in Chesterfield, Virginia and she looks forward to spread the outreach of CCI by giving her valuable time to the organization.




Business Council Director Minesh Patel

Mr Minesh came to USA in 1990 and since than have worked in Gas station and two years later got married and bought first Business in Chesterfield County and since than he has build and own over 15 Gas station and also become a BP fuel Supplier for Virginia Market.
He also a Founder and Chairman of VAASOA so we can help Small Business owners with buying power and in any other way they need help.He is married to Sima and we have two children . Parth and Stuti Patel.
Parth Graduate from Virginia Tech and Stuti is Junior at Virginia Tech and doing Computer science as a her major.





Outdoor Program Director Shishir Kumar Jha

Shishir Kumar Jha is an engineering graduate with 25 years of IT experience. Shishir is a social and vision oriented person, who believes in quality, simplicity and getting things done. He worked as sr officer in Govt. sector in India and came to USA 20 yrs ago. He has been involved in many community programs and services. He gives credit to his wife Punam , son Sidhant, daughter Swara and blessing of his parents for all his achievements. His wife Punam an owns a software development firm. Shishir loves writing Hindi Poem/plays as well as playing outdoor games mainly cricket and soccers. Shishir’s addition adds a huge value to the CCIVA executive team.
